A portion of the proceeds from London via Surrey book app will go to JC Dragon Top Elementary School in Sichuan Province, China. Dragon Top was built by my family in 2003 to honor my grandparents Mr. and Mrs. TC Chao. The school serves up to 170 rural children annually living with grandparents from farming families with parents working who work in coastal cities.

Beyond the initial building of the school, financial contributions have gone towards supporting a part-time English teacher, purchase of electronic and sports equipment and other needs — such as a steamer to heat up biàn dang (lunches) of the students. When Caelan was born, we helped purchase musical instruments — and helped start the library when Ava was born.

During our most recent visit, we delivered basic office supplies for the teachers along with educational toys, school supplies, toothbrushes and more to the students.
